Job Description

Purpose:  Preparation and cooking of all menu items in a Wings Over Restaurant.


Job Duties:

  • Prepares all menu items to customer order specifications, in a timely manner
  • Fry’s, grills and sauces chicken in correct flavor as requested by the customer
  • Accurately reads orders from the Point of Service (POS) system 
  • Prepare several orders at one time
  • Package food orders for pick up or delivery
  • Filters oil and cleans fryolater(s) using safety equipment daily
  • Follow food safety guidelines at all times
  • Maintains the kitchen (back of the house) in a clean, neat and orderly manner
  • Ensures all dishes and cleaning is complete at the end of each shift
  • Ensures all kitchen/food preparation is completed each shift as needed which includes, sauces, vegetables, ribs and any other food items 
  • Cross train to assist order takers and delivery drivers (meeting all requirements) when necessary
  • Completes the Wings Workbook and weekly task
  • Other duties as assigned


Necessary Skills for Success: 

  • Employer provided food safety training required by state health code
  • Understand how to use commercial kitchen equipment safely
  • Thorough knowledge of the menu items and sauce flavors
  • Reliable, able to show up to work on time and for each scheduled shift
  • Proactive with all work related duties
  • Positive attitude with customers and coworkers
  • Cooperates with all team members  


Necessary Qualifications for Success:

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and able to provide appropriate documentation to complete the form I-9 within 3 days of their first day of employment
  • Must be 18 years of age and have an acceptable criminal background check
  • Experience with quick service restaurant cooking is preferred
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Computer knowledge 


Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for entire shift, bending, lifting and reaching 
  • Frequently moves about inside the restaurants kitchen and backrooms (which maybe in a basement or second floor)
  • Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds and frequently up to 20 pounds on a regular basis when stocking the cooler
  • Work with hot, cold and hazardous equipment
  • Must be able to constantly operate kitchen equipment  
  • Must be able to consistently see and hear customers via the phone and in person
